The Struck by Light collective is an international group of women experimental photographic artists who push beyond the traditional boundaries of photography. We first came together in 2020, as the result of our selection for an open call by Hundred Heroines and renowned American experimental photographer Ellen Carey in response to the question "What does a 21st century photograph look like?".

We subsequently formed our collective to continue to support and promote each others practice, and to create opportunities to showcase our work. We held our first Struck by Light in person exhibition at Valid World Hall Gallery, Barcelona in 2021, curated by members Megan Ringrose and Christina Fontsare, and part of the International Experimental Photo Festival. The following year fellow artist Kateryna Snizhko and curator Mira Matic produced a fundraiser for Ukraine, SVITLO, taking place at Looiersgracht 60, Amsterdam.
